It’s always important to remember when going into a job interview that, as much as the employer is trying to gauge if you’re a good fit for the role, you are checking them out too.

This is why it’s so important to not only be prepared to answer their questions, but to have a few in mind to ask them too.

However, coming up with insightful questions that will ensure you leave a lasting impression is easier said than done. Thankfully a recruiter has shared their insight on what they think are the best queries to pose to an interviewer.

In a video that has gone viral on TikTok, she told followers: “If you want to make a lasting impression with the hiring manager, make sure to ask them these three interview questions at the end. A hiring manager is your go-to person to get all of the details about the role.

“They are the ones to ask so you can get a clear understanding of what the role entails and what they expect from you. You can also ask questions to use your advantage so you can progress in future interviews."

Going on to reveal the questions, she added: "Can you tell me about the team I'd be working with? What are your expectations for the person in this role for the first 30, 60, and 90 days? What are the three most important qualities you're looking for in your ideal candidate?"

After sharing her wisdom, she finished: "No more last-minute googling of what should I ask at an interview [...] Never end the interview with no questions. Ask at least one."

People watching the informative video were thrilled with the detailed advice and rushed to thank the TikToker, with many sharing their own suggestions. One person replied: "Ask why they like working there and what the environment/workload is like day to day!"

And someone else recommended trying: "Ask them what their culture is like or what is their leadership style!" Another person gushed: "These are the best!"
