BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst has revealed that television is not always as glamorous as it seems.

The TV personality has often appeared in a prim and proper way as she gave morning viewers the latest news and updates on-screen.

Nina, 43, has been known to look glam in the expansive BBC Breakfast studio up in Auntie's Salford HQ.

She has stunned on the sofa as she filled in for the likes of Sally Nugent, 52, and Naga Munchetty, 49.

The longtime BBC star has also appeared to present the business and consumer bulletins alongside the likes of Jon Kay, 54, and Charlie Stayt, 62.

However, it seems that she has made her way out of the glamorous set and onto the streets of the country to present the coverage in the run up to the UK General Election.

It also appears that she prefers to be in the warm as she tackles the daily grind of being a roving reporter.

Taking to social media, she couldn't help but hint at a little moan as she posted a "lackluster" update for her fans.

She was pictured in Suffolk holding a specially branded cue card as she made a frowning expression towards the camera.

Nina captioned the shot: "Election tour photos increasingly lacklustre, sorry."

The presenter also took a video as she struggled to get her pre-recorded piece together and had to use all available resources.

Nina said: "If you ever think that TV news is glamorous, I've just been on a five hour train that did not have a buffet car.

She added: "And now I'm sitting under a desk to record my voiceover for tomorrow's piece on BBC Breakfast, see you then."

This comes after the star was flooded with support when she presented her first BBC News at one o'clock bulletin.

The flagship news programme made a huge shake-up as they moved the programme from London's New Broadcasting House up to the north of England.

The publicly funded corporation also announced that the roster of presenters would be made up of BBC Breakfast faces as they debuted their new setup.

Nina struggled to hold in her excitement as she posted a behind-the-scenes studio snap to her grid page, as fans flocked to praise the star.

Alongside the sneak peek of the set where she was seen beaming alongside her colleagues, Nina wrote: "The BBC’s One o’clock news has been a part of my life FOREVER.

"Breaking up the day in school holidays (well it *was* on before Neighbours), watching every day at University (“studying” politics away from the lecture hall ????), on maternity leave, at home after an early shift …. It’s been one of those mental markers that punctuate the day for as long as I can remember."

The mum-of-three was pictured with various production staff as she added: "Today I presented it for the first time, it was Tracey’s first time on cameras, and Jack’s first week managing the studio floor….

"We are all very proud that this institution has come to Salford (the faces say it all!) and very grateful to our London colleagues for nurturing a brilliant programme and sharing it with us."
