It's time to invite your friends round, put the kettle on, and get dunking...

There is no denying that Brits are a tea-obsessed nation, famous for constantly asking if anyone wants a brew. As a result, we're also pretty hooked on biscuits - ranging from the top-tier choccie digestive to the humble custard cream.

While debate remains unsettled around which biscuit is the best accompaniment to a cuppa (shortbread is a clear winner), food giant McVitie's just upped their game by launching a chocolatey twist to one of its most iconic products. It's safe to say the release has gone down a storm with Brits across the nation, after shoppers spotted the new biccies in the supermarket.

McVities Cocoa Rich Tea biscuits are officially available to buy and can be picked up at your local Tesco store. They're not yet available online and shoppers haven't confirmed a price - but the retailer is currently selling a two-pack of the original Rich Tea biscuits for £2.80 and it is likely an introductory offer will make these a complete bargain.

The sweet biscuits do not contain a layer of chocolate like the Chocolate Digestives do, and instead have a subtle chocolatey taste throughout thanks to the use of cocoa. This makes them great for dunking, as your fingers won't be covered in melted chocolate.
