EMMERDALE fans have been left baffled by a major change in Charity Dingle after her first appearance on the show resurfaced.
The throwback clip shows the character, played by actress Emma Atkins, looking worlds away from her current self after making her debut on the ITV soap in 2000.

In the clip, Charity can be heard speaking with a much stronger Yorkshire accent and sounds nothing like her current on-screen self.

Adopting a thick accent, she can be heard saying: "Eh, I'm dead sorry uncle Zak."
She leans over to give him a hug as Sam and Lisa look on.
Charity goes on to add: "Ey up our Sammy! How're you doing?"
Not only has she appeared to undergo an accent change, her looks are far from what fans are currently used to.
Charity made her debut rocking a blonde pixie cut - a far cry from her flowing locks that fans are used to.
Commenting on the clip, one fan said: "I was watching Charity’s first appearance on Emmerdale in 2000 recently and the difference in her accent and just the way she speaks is completely different and i didn’t recognise her at first."
Another went on to say: "Loved Charity’s Yorkshire accent back then she has lost that accent now or it is not at strong now must have been because she was away from Emmerdale for a few years."
Before a third added: "I miss every incarnation of Charity, up until she became just 'Mack's Wife'."
Over her 24 years on the programme, Charity has endured some major highs and tragic lows.
