Beloved over 20 years ago, the practical yet stylish hair accessory is reclaiming its place in the spotlight.

From casual days out to high-fashion runways, claw clips are proving they’re more than just a nostalgic nod - they're a versatile, chic staple.

And now, Aldi has thrown its clip into the ring.

The budget supermarket has dropped three-piece claw clip sets into the middle aisle.

One set will cost you just £3.49 - making each clip just £1.16 a pop.

“Transform your hair and enjoy a salon-worthy look every day with this Lacura Claw Clip Set,” bosses said.

“Choose from three shades, meaning there is sure to be a style for everyone.

“Perfect for banishing bad hair days and trying new styles.

“You’ll achieve the perfect stylish updo when you're low on time.”

Aldi’s social media team took to Instagram to promote its new hair tool.

“Our claw clip sets are perfect for combining cute hairstyles and healthy hair,” they penned.

“Which colour will you be grabbing?”

Claw clips first gained popularity in the Eighties and early Nineties, characterised by their practical design that effortlessly held hair in place.

The simplicity of claw clips - with their interlocking teeth and spring mechanism - made them a favourite for anyone seeking a quick hair solution.

Fast forward over 20 years, we're constantly seeing off-duty models and celebs don a claw clip.

These include supermodel Gigi Hadid, influencers Hailey Bieber and Sofia Richie, and Espresso singer Sabrina Carpenter.

The comeback is largely fueled by social media, as well as the ease of use and the ability to create effortlessly chic hairstyles with claw clips.

Many claw clips are made from durable materials like metal and acetate, making them a long-lasting addition to your accessory collection.

Unlike disposable hair bands and scrunchies that frequently need replacing, a well-made claw clip can last for years, reducing waste and promoting eco-friendly fashion choices.
