BABY names are like Marmite...you either love them or hate them.
And unfortunately for one woman, she's told how she finds her first name so "monstrous," she has "always" gone by her middle name instead.
Taking to Reddit, she addressed social forum users and asked: "Please confirm: my name is a tragedeigh, right?"
In the post, she explained: "I go by my middle name. Always have.
"I’m guessing even my mum wasn’t so confident about the monstrous first name she made for me."

Explaining how her first name was decided, the woman in question continued: "She took “'An”' from her mother’s “'Mary Ann' and 'Jan' for her father, which is the Dutch version of John, and created 'Anjanine.'
For anyone still confused, she went on to point out that it’s supposed to be pronounced like the name Anne and the name Janine put together.
However, the Reddit user noted: "Absolutely no one can figure that out when they see it."
And for those who are struggling to see how the moniker is often mispronounced, she shared a few examples - with some even referring to it as a heart condition.

"I’ve had all of these: Angina (as in chest pain), Anna-Jean, Ahn-JAH-nin, Anna-Yin, Anna-Gina (as in 'geena'), Anne-Gina, Anna-yanie and Anya-nine," she penned.
"And plenty others I’ve forgotten."
But the story took a further twist when the woman revealed that she didn't choose to go by her middle name, which is Vanessa, that was her mum's doing.
"She liked it better but wanted to honour her parents with the first name," she explained.
"I sure wish she’d have honoured them with my middle name."

It wasn't long before the comments section was flooded with messages
"If you say it fast enough it sounds like the name of a cool aunt, 'aunt Janine,'" wrote one.
A second penned: "Anjanine sounds like the perfect name for a quirky character in a whimsical novel."
Meanwhile, a third commented: "To think that your mum could have named you 'Anne Janine' (which sounds exactly the same) and made up 'Anjanine' instead…I’m sorry."
And one more added: "I pronounced it correctly in my head when I read it, but it also made me think of 'angina,' so kinda grim."
