A group of around 10 people standing on a circular platform below rushed to the edge as they witnessed the lad lose his grip and land amid a sea of cricket fans.

“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
The celebrations came after India won the T20 World Cup in Bridgetown by just seven runs yesterday.
