Liverpool have entered a new era after Jurgen Klopp stepped down as manager and was replaced by Arne Slot.
The Reds enjoyed plenty of success under Klopp and will be hoping that can continue under their new head coach. However, Liverpool are yet to make any new signings this summer, with only outgoings confirmed so far.
Several players have departed after their contracts expired, including Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip, while defender Calvin Ramsay has joined League One side Wigan Athletic on loan. With all that in mind, Mirror Football takes a look at all of the rumours coming out of Anfield.
Kimmich boost
Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit of Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich, with the midfielder open to joining the Reds.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern are willing to sell Kimmich if they receive a 'suitable offer' as the club currently have no plans to discuss a new deal with the 29-year-old. Kimmich's current contract is due to expire next summer.
Jurgen Klopp's approach with Robert Lewandowski bodes well for Darwin NunezThe report states that an exit is now 'getting closer', with Kimmich only interested in a move to Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Kvaratskhelia blow
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Georgia star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but Napoli do not want to sell the 23-year-old.
"There are no problems with Kvara because we have a contract," club president Aurelio De Laurentiis said. "We'll make an offer for a new deal, so I see no problems for him. That being said, somebody can even offer contracts to the players without the club's authorisation."
New manager Antonio Conte also insisted: "He'll stay. I feel no doubts. I repeat, there is no need to have them. I have been very categorical about this. I wouldn't even want this refrain to happen again in the future. The president gave this wonderful news."
Guler warning
Reports from Spain claim that Liverpool have made contact with Real Madrid over a potential swoop for Arda Guler, following his impressive performances for Turkey at Euro 2024.
However, Emmanuel Petit has warned Liverpool they should prioritise other targets instead. He told bet365: "I think that Liverpool need other players before they bring in Arda Guler. I don't know what the new manager wants to do, but you have to be careful when signing players on the back of them shining at a major tournament after they haven’t yet made an impact at club level.
"You get all the expectation and the fascination but the competition is different to domestic football, so some players sometimes shine and all of a sudden when they come back to the club they become average. So you have to be very careful about that."
