The final day Glastonbury 2024 came to dramatic end, with yet more chaos and sound issues.
Headlining their record breaking fifth Glastonbury, Coldplay pulled out all the stops last night - making political statements, letting off fireworks and bringing Hollywood actor Michael J Fox out on stage to play guitar with them towards the end of the night.
During the day, festival-goers - and those glued to their sofas at home - were treated to a moving performance from Paloma Faith and Shania Twain in the Legends slot (with a few sound issues) before SZA's headline slot.
Away from the music, footy fans were able to watch England's narrow victory this afternoon thanks to former One Direction Louis Tomlinson bringing a telly to Worthy Farm to get around the game ban.

SZA changed into a forest green gown adorned with leaves, teamed with metallic wings, for her track Supermodel, from her debut album Ctrl.
During track Nobody Gets Me, she climbed up a large fallen tree trunk that adorned her set and sat on an elevated platform on the tree.
Only a couple of hours left before Pride Month is over for another year but SZA is still in the mood for celebrating, telling the Glastonbury crowd 'Happy Pride' with a huge smile on her face.
SZA has adopted a little British accent to ask if "everyone is alright". Cute.
She brandished two swords during her rendition of her track Kill Bill on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. The musician showed off her samurai skills for the track, which takes its name from the Quentin Tarantino film starring Uma Thurman.
First Dua Lipa, then Shania Twain and now SZA have been hit with sound issues.
BBC viewers watch at home are unsure what is causing the bad sound quality - with some thinking it's down to a dodgy mic while others are blame autotune and sound producers.
"Glastonbury sound engineers getting sacked for SZA," one penned on Twitter/X earlier. Another added: "Feel sooo bad for Sza on Glastonbury the sound engineers need to sort this shit out right now because this is a career moving moment and it’s just not coming across great when we all know how insanely talented she is #sza #Glastonbury #szaglastonbury."

SZA got a vastly bigger crowd on Saturday night as she performed at BST Hyde Park, in London. BST sources say she pulled in 50,000 punters, which appears to dwarf the number of people watching her at Glastonbury. But all in all, it’s been a pretty lucrative weekend for the star, as she would have picked up about £500,000 for BST, and around £200,000 for her Glastonbury headline set.

With not long to go before SZA takes to the stage for this evening’s headline act, Glastonbury geeks on Twitter (X) have been speculating about the size of the crowd.

Artist Banksy confirmed that a small boat crossing artwork at Glastonbury belongs to him following criticism from high-profile Conservative ministers.
A small boat filled with migrant dummies in orange life jackets was hoisted into the crowd gathered to watch the band Idles play on the Other Stage at Worthy Farm on Friday night.
On Sunday, Banksy posted a video of the boat sailing through the crowd during the band’s set to his Instagram page. Earlier in the day, Home Secretary James Cleverly and Deputy prime minister Oliver Dowden hit out at the stunt.
Nigerian singer Burna Boy opened his Pyramid Stage set with echoes of a Western theme, complete with a jean top and brown leather jacket.
He has a prop building on stage, named Burna’s saloon, cacti, a screen displaying “wanted signs” and what appears to be a plastic life-sized horse as he sings the track Tested, Approved & Trusted.
Elsewhere, grime legend Kano has made a surprise appearance on stage with the Top Boy actor joining Ghetts for a cameo.
Glastonbury Festival won't be happening in 2026 as it will be taking one of its traditional "fallow" years to allow the land to recover from the thousands of revellers who attend the music spectacle.
Emily Eavis, 44, the organiser and daughter of founder Michael, 88, confirmed the news. Glastonbury usually takes a break every fifth summer, with the last one being in 2018 before it returned the following year. During the pandemic, the land had an unexpected fallow year as the iconic festival was cancelled.
Avril Lavigne told the crowd at Worthy Farm that she has always “loved” performing in the UK.
Before playing her song Losing Grip, she said: “This song is off my first album called Let Go, does anyone out there have a copy of my first album? I wrote that album when I was 16 years old… I ended up moving to Los Angeles and writing this album, it came out when I was 17.
“I came over here to England the UK right away and everybody here has always been so insanely, incredibly supportive and I’ve loved coming here.” The 39-year-old treated festival-goers to hits including Here’s To Never Growing Up, My Happy Ending, He Wasn’t, and What The Hell during her set.
Fans could be heard chanting “one more song” as Avril Lavigne thanked the crowd after she wrapped up her Glastonbury set with a performance of hit song Sk8r Boi.

The Canadian musician wore a tartan skirt, fishnet tights and a black and red jacket while she performed in front of a jam-packed crowd at Worthy Farm. However, many fans struggled to secure their spot for her set as they battled a bottle neck. Before she took to the stage, fans had to squeeze together to make it to the arena in time.
However, many didn't make it due to the sheer volume of fans. Music-lovers had to watch through a slit in the metal gates as fans couldn't make it through the crowd. Celebrities Anya Taylor-Joy and Cara Delevingne were spotted side of stage watching Avril perform.

“I’m going to get personal,” Shania told the crowd. “I feel, i guess, special - you guys make it special. You make me feel welcome. You make me feel happy.”

The star, who told the BBC before the festival opened that she would love to enter the stage on horseback, was instead joined by several drag queens holding horse puppets.

A barefoot Paloma Faith dished out relationship advice to the Glastonbury audience following an audience singalong of her track Sweatpants.
She told the Pyramid Stage crowd the “key to looking OK is loneliness” after saying she had youthful looks at the age of 42.
Faith added: “Because I looked a bit older when I was in a relationship with someone I resented. And I was sitting in the house… like stewing, just like (thinking) ‘Oh you irritate me so much that I have to tell you everything today’.”
The singer also said dating apps are difficult because people “don’t really know how to connect anymore”. Faith added: “Try and stay together, but it’s the resentment that’s the problem
“So all I’m asking, this is a plea, I’m talking about (heterosexual) men, if you are married… and I just want you to notice that if a woman does the same action every single day, it means it needs doing, so don’t wait to ask to do it, just do it.”

Paying tribute to her fellow London native, she said Winehouse was there “in spirit” as she sang a few parts the song following a rousing version of US singer Cass Elliot’s Make Your Own Kind Of Music, which featured on Faith’s fourth studio album The Architect.
Faith is accompanied on the Pyramid Stage by backing singers and a band, all wearing black.
Chris Martin had teased Fox’s appearance earlier on in Pyramid Stage show, referencing the song “Johnny B Goode”, which Fox’s character, Marty McFly, performs in the first film, released in 1985.
The singer has previously spoken about the 2016 show at the MetLife Stadium in New York, where he came on stage to perform Johnny B.Goode.
Martin said at the time: “Him coming to play ‘Johnny B. Goode’ and stuff, that was wonderful.” He added: “That’s what made me want to be in a band, you know? That scene. I grew up in real farmland of England, before the internet. So any music on TV…The first thing I ever recorded was, there was a show called The A-Team. And I had a cassette recorder and held it against the TV to record the theme tune.”
The emotional collaboration between Coldplay and Michael J. Fox was kept a closely guarded secret with only a handful of people knowing that the actor was set to take part.
Michael and Chris Martin have struck up a friendship ever since Fox joined the band on stage previously in 2016.

British singer Paloma Faith arrived on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage on Sunday by belting out her song How You Leave A Man, expertly using her wide-ranging vocal skills.
Dressed in a tight pink and red dress, the 42-year-old had been struggling with a sore throat that led her to cancel a Friday gig in Southampton’s Guildhall Square.
However, she said earlier on Sunday on social media that she had “improved”.
Her set was an unmitigated disaster beset with sound issues…but Cyndi Lauper put the controversy behind her as she partied at Glastonbury’s debauched nightspot NYC Downlow. The singer did an impromptu performance of Girls Just Want to Have Fun at the venue, which is a replica of a seedy New York bathhouse-cum-meatpacking warehouse circa 1982. And there was no repeat of the issues which plagued her Other Stage show which saw a mass walkout by fans who struggled to hear her. Instead she belted out the hit as fans, many of whom were very scantily dressed, went wild, and cheered her from the rafters.
We fell in love with them on Normal People…and Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones were reunited at a Charli XCX gig with the pair spotted deep in conversation. Paul was earlier seen in the posh Soho House outpost The Hideaway drinking piccantes…but looking slightly out of place in a scruffy t-shirt and shorts.
