Sir Jim Ratcliffe has plenty of work to do ahead of his first full season at Manchester United.

The INEOS owner arrived at Old Trafford this term and has already been attempting to put his stamp on things. That will not end anytime soon.

Ratcliffe has a decision to make over his manager as the pressure continues to rise on Erik ten Hag. Replacements, including ex-Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, have already been sounded out.

There could also be plenty of overhaul among the playing squad as Ratcliffe looks to invest. Take a look at all of the headlines to come out of Old Trafford over the past 24 hours:

Casemiro ‘hurt’ by FA Cup absence

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has reportedly been left hurt by his snub for the FA Cup final. The former Real Madrid star was omitted from the squad by Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils claimed the trophy against Man City at Wembley. Casemiro had originally been picked to feature but was replaced by 19-year-old Willy Kambwala.

Ten Hag suggested that it was due to an injury, something that has been disputed since then. Either way, Casemiro has been left hurt by not featuring at Wembley - something that could see him consider his future even further amid links with Saudi sides.

Maguire ‘desperate’ for stay

Former Man United captain Harry Maguire is reportedly ‘desperate’ to stay at the club heading into last season. The England defender has endured a rollercoaster period at Old Trafford since joining in an £85m switch from Leicester.

He could see his future grow even more uncertain with the appointment of a new manager. But Maguire is clear on his decision.

According to The Sun, he is keen to continue at Old Trafford regardless of who is in charge. It is detailed that he will still discuss his future with club chiefs this summer with just one year remaining on his contract.

Red Devils eye cut-price Branthwaite

While Maguire is keen to stay with the Red Devils next season at least, he could potentially face more competition at Old Trafford next season. That is because Man United are interested in a deal for Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite.

The centre-back is a long-term target of Red Devils chiefs but could be available for even cheaper this summer. Reports suggest that he could move for around £40m due to the Toffees uncertain financial situation.

777 Partners agreed to buy out current owner Farhad Moshiri in September but have struggled to seal a deal. The Toffees have also recorded a post-tax loss of £89.1m in March.
