GREAT British Menu fans were left outraged as a 'rude' chef served her dish 20 minutes late after 'giving up & crying' in car crash scenes.
The BBC Two series' latest episode saw three chefs from the North West tackle mains and puddings in a bid to make it through to cook for the judges at the end of the week.
However one chef - Caroline - was lagging behind the others in the scores and found herself receiving the lowest of the three scores for her main too.
Moving on to puddings, Caroline had an ambitious plan to create a dessert based around children's show, Pingu.
It involved tempering a chocolate egg filled with a hazelnut nougat filling.

The dish featured four different chocolate elements and it soon became apparent that the egg wasn't going to be ready in time.
In a voiceover, host Andi Oliver said: "Still waiting for the inside of her egg to defrost, Caroline is now 18 minutes late to the pass."
In the kitchen, Andi asked how she was doing and Caroline said she would need another five minutes.
Looking at the clock, Andi replied: "I don't think we can give you any extra time Caroline so I'm going to have to get you up here with what you've got."
Andi then explained in a voiceover: "Allowing Caroline even more time would start to impact on the other chefs' cooking, so she has no option but to plate."
As she started to construct her dish, veteran chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen - who was mentoring the three chefs - stepped in and offered to help her finish.
But Caroline shut it down, and Andi replied: "Caroline if Lisa is offering help I would take it."
But the chef stood firm and curtly replied: "Just leave it with me, I'm going to finish plating. Thank you."
Andi then pushed for her to get to the pass, and despite being told she might not have time for her sorbet, Caroline still dished it out.
After the dish was tasted by Lisa and the other chefs, Andi and Lisa gave out feedback and the scores, with Caroline receiving a six despite her lateness and her dish not completely working.

The chaotic scenes had Great British Menu viewers taking to Twitter to comment.
One wrote: "I get that Caroline was upset but she just came across as downright rude- sulking, making faces, one word answers! She needs to get a grip #greatbritishmenu."
Another added: "Not even an apology from #poefaced Caroline to @_LisaAllen How rude!"
A third tweeted: "Caroline lost her head at the end of the last ep, and it got so much worse today 20 mins late and no apology!? Still wanna check out her restaurant tbf, but that was a hard watch."
Meanwhile a fourth shared: "Oh boy, that was all very awkward. Caroline lost her head in the kitchen tonight!"
A fellow viewer commented: "Poor Caroline. I really felt for her. Looked like she'd had a good cry and been hauled back for the scores."
