Jay-Z rape lawsuit dismissed as rapper releases statement describing family’s ’trauma’

Jay-Z’s rape lawsuit has been dropped after he strenuously denied the allegation, and the rapper has issued a statement.

Speaking via Roc Nation’s social media, Jay-Z, 55 – real name Shawn Carter – said: ‘Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious and appalling allegations have been dismissed.

‘This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere. The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims.

‘I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, loved ones and I have endured can never be dismissed.

‘This 1-800 lawyer gets to file a suit hiding behind Jane Doe, and when they quickly realise that the money grab is going to fail, they get to walk away with no repercussions. The system has failed.

‘The court must protect victims, OF COURSE, while with the same ethical responsibility, the courts must protect the innocent from being accused without a shred of evidence.

‘May the truth prevail for all victims and those falsely accused equally.’

The 99 Problems rapper always denied the allegation of rape which was brought against him in December.

The suit initially only named Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 55 – who also denies the accusation – when it was first filed in New York in October, but it was refiled months later to include Carter.

When reports broke that the allegation involved Carter too, the rapper took to social media with his first statement.

‘My heart and support goes out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit,’ he said.

Carter also addressed Beyoncé, and their children Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir, seven.

He said: ‘My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.

‘Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.

‘My heart and support goes out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.’

Tonight’s news comes after Jane Doe sat down for an interview with NBC News in which she detailed her version of events.
