And now the Dublin UFC star shared some snaps of him and Hollywood superstar Jake Gyllenhaal in action from the movie.

McGregor took to social media as he set fans' pulses racing.

The Doug Liman-directed picture does not have a formally announced release date, but began filming on August 23.

McGregor - whose character and general role in the flick is unspecified - offered social media followers a glimpse into the process.

Former two-division UFC champion posted to twitter as he captioned the snaps.

He simply tweeted: "The Mac. The Movies."

McGregor and Gyllenhaal can been seen in water on one snap from the action film.

The Dubliner perviously gave glimpses into his movie debut, but now the UFC star has seemingly posted screenshots from actual scenes from the movie.

Meanwhile, 'The Notorious' hasn't fought since sustaining a severe leg break in the trilogy loss to Dustin Poirier.

Crumlin native McGregor finds himself out of the UFC's rankings after 2022 due to no seeing competitive action since UFC 264 back in July, 2021.

He's more than likely to return at 170lbs - due to his bulk in size - and figure in the fact he hasn't won a bout at lightweight since beating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in 2016.

It's unlikely we'll see the Dubliner in the cage until mid to late 2023 as he must be in the USADA drug testing pool for at least six months before his return, something he plans to do in February.
