Love Island’s Maya Jama makes epic blunder after crowning winners of the show

LOVE Island host Maya Jama appeared to make a huge blunder after announcing the winners of the ITV2 show.

The TV presenter, 28, seemed to make a major slip-up after handing the 2023 crown to Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, both 24, during the live final.

As the deserving couple celebrated their win with their fellow finalists, Maya gave a final closing speech to the camera.

Having teased fans to tune into the programme's reunion special next week, Maya was quick to inform viewers of a brand new reality show that would be taking Love Island's timeslot following the conclusion of the series.

The programme in question was Loaded in Paradise, a new show that made its debut on the ITVX streaming service last year.

However, show host Maya appeared to get her words in a twist as she called the show Loaded in Paris.

Speaking to the camera, the beauty said: "If you are wondering about what to watch, we have a new reality series Loaded in Paris, tomorrow night ITV2 at 9pm."

Maya's slip-up comes after she crowned Kai and Sanam as the winners of this year's show, in her first year as host.

The emotional couple couldn't believe their luck as they shared a sweet embrace and kiss after Maya revealed the result of the public vote.

Sanam wiped away tears as the pair kissed following their win.

"I can't believe it!" Sanam exclaimed as the finalists flocked onto the stage.

Kai and Sanam, both 24, managed to beat competitive rivals Tom Clare & Samie Elishi and Lana Jenkins, 25, & Ron Hall, 26, and Shaq Muhammad, 24, & Tanya Manhenga, 22.

Ron and Lana were pipped to the post to finish second.
