Tom Parker 's widow, Kelsey, has opened up about their children's 'tough road ahead' following the tragic death of The Wanted singer.
In March, Kelsey and her children Aurelia, three, and Bodhi, two, said a final farewell to Tom, who passed away at the age of 33 after battling an aggressive brain tumour for over two years.
At the time, Tom's beloved wife Kelsey, 32, confirmed the tragic news in a heartbreaking statement.
Kelsey wrote on Instagram : "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken.
"Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.
Tom Parker's widow Kelsey reveals struggle about living with grief as she looks ahead to 2023"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children. Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you."
Now, almost one year on from Tom's tragic passing, Kelsey has opened up about their children's future without their amazing dad.
TV star Kelsey discussed sharing stories about raising her children with someone else who has also been widowed.
The mum-of-two recently returned from a five-day 100km charity trek in the Sahara Desert alongside stars including Vicky Pattison, Giovanna Fletcher and Pete Wicks to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
Whilst there, Kelsey found herself on the same path as a man who lost his wife to breast cancer three years ago.
Following the chance meeting, Kelsey has insisted that she was put on the same team as the widower for a reason, as the pair bonded over their losses.
Sharing insight into the poignant meeting, Kelsey said: "I felt like we were put on the same team for a reason because I was talking to him about where his daughter was at now.
“My kids are going to be at that stage after losing their dad and we spoke about the road ahead, like the kids going to school.
"I can’t talk to everyone about that because they don’t know what I’ve been through or what I am going through. But he actually understood it all and how I felt. It was tough," she told OK! Magazine.
Tom was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour while Kelsey was pregnant with their second child.
