ENGLAND rugby star Hannah Botterman was embarrassingly caught crawling on live TV.

The 23-year-old was spotted on all fours seemingly trying to keep out of shot while her team-mate Sarah Hunter was conducting an interview.

Unfortunately for her, the ploy backfired terribly as the cameras panned just as she crawled past meaning she was caught red-handed.

Botterman took to Twitter to joke: "I shouldn’t be allowed out the house."

Fans found it hilarious, one said: "'I don’t want to be on TV'. To sports TV funniest moment of the season. Brilliant."

Another reacted: "You absolute legend. I am properly in stitches."

A third reacted: "I love that the camera operator panned out to catch you doing it."

Some even compared her actions to that of England captain Harry Kane, who was weirdly seen doing an army-style crawl to get back on the pitch after being injured against Italy.

Botterman's incident occurred before the Red Roses smashed Scotland 58-7 in the Six Nations.

She has been capped 32 times by England.

At club level, the prop plays for Saracens.

Botterman is from a rugby-obsessed family, her aunt Jane also played for England and her uncle Gregg also played for the Sarries.
