He also clarified that Trump was aboard Epstein's plane prior to his presidency.
In the past Trump has tried to distance himself from the late financier and reportedly even banned him from his Palm Beach resort Mar-a-Lago.
But, in an interview in 2002, Trump called Epstein a "terrific guy" who liked "younger" women in New York Magazine.
The former president went on to tell the outlet, "He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.

Flight logs from 2000 reported by the Mail Online also show that Prince Andrew was on board Epstein's plane on a flight from New Jersey to Florida.

After Maxwell's arrest, he said: "I hope Epstein made videos.

"I hereby waive any right of privacy in Epstein videos."
Who has been mentioned in Epstein’s private calendar?
On April 31, 2023, The Wall Street Journal obtained documents regarding Epstein’s private calendar - which include arranged meetings with prominent individuals, "after he had served jail time in 2008 for a sex crime involving a teenage girl and was registered as a sex offender."
The meetings between these individuals and Epstein were scheduled between 2013 and 2017, however, it is noted that "none of their names appear in Epstein’s now-public 'black book' of contacts or in the public flight logs of passengers who traveled on his private jet," according to the outlet.
None of the individuals named in the Wall Street Journal’s documents have been accused of any wrongdoing.
The list includes:

In 2014, the 67-year-old diplomat had three meetings scheduled with Epstein while he was deputy secretary of state, as per documents obtained by the WSJ.
Following the release of this information, Tammy Kupperman Thorp, a CIA spokeswoman said in a comment to Fox News: "Director Burns recalls being introduced by a mutual friend in Washington, DC, and then met with him once briefly in New York City, about a decade ago as the Director was preparing to leave government service.
"The Director did not know anything about him, other than he was introduced as an expert in the financial services sector and offered general advice on transition to the private sector. The Director does not recall any further contact, including receiving a ride to the airport. They had no relationship."

According to the WSJ: "Mr. Chomsky said he and Epstein discussed political and academic topics."

However, the 94-year-old intellectual told Fox News: "The reporting covered 2015-16, when what was known about Mr. Epstein was that he had been sentenced for a crime, served his sentence, which wiped the slate clean according to US law and norms.
"The gossip column chose not to publish the extensive information they have about far worse criminals who not only donate to MIT and other institutions but, far more serious of course, are greatly honored by them," he said, taking a dig at both, the WSJ and Fox News.
