BRITNEY Spears may be facing issues with lawyers over her upcoming memoir, but she is keen to set the record straight on one of her most famous celebrity flings.
Spears is throwing out her thoughts on her encounters with Colin Farrell, which ended in a “perplexing” drama.
Then a Hollywood hell-raiser, Oscar-nominated Farrell, upset Spears with his attitude after their brief 2003 romance.
The mother of two is setting the record straight on the rumor that he sent a bumper sticker that read: “Honk if you've slept with Colin Farrell."
Farrell did try to make peace later after he admitted he was wild during the early 2000s. However, it is unclear if he admitted to sending her the bumper sticker.

But Spears is going to present her version of that event after "waiting a long time.”
The Los Angeles source said: “Britney has worked her way through the extraordinarily emotional challenges and troubles of her life in the 2000s for the book.
“Those were especially tough recollections and challenging days to cover those experiences.
“But during those heady days, Britney also had many other adventures as a single woman, including that experience with Colin.
"And she is keen to get her time with Colin laid down on paper and presented from her perspective. She has been wanting to set the record straight for a long time.
“At that time, he was the hottest young actor in Hollywood, and she was swept away by the romance of him taking a shine to her.
“People forget that then she was not that experienced with boys or the dating game, so when they had their fling, she was taken aback by how nonchalant and disconnected he was.
"She was shocked at how he treated it all like a joke. And when the car sticker came through, she was deeply annoyed and also angered.
“She hated the fact that some people were laughing at her.
“Colin did try and make peace later, trying to explain his over-the-top behavior was down to his own life issues and battles with drugs and temptation.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Farrell's team for comment.
Farrell endured his own struggles with his demons during his Hollywood beginning from 2003 to 2006.
In an interview with The Irish Independent in 2017, the actor confessed to taking heroin and battling a harrowing relationship with drugs.
He told Ireland’s Late Late Show: “I had high tolerance for various drugs for years.”
The insider says that other men in Spears’ sights with the memoir include Justin Timberlake, Fred Durst, Jared Leto, and Wade Robson.
The insider claims that Britney will also address her connection to girls, especially after her famous kiss with Madonna at the 2003 VMAs.
“Justin will be included in the book. It will be the first time fans will have her speak in full about the devastation of that split.
“But the talk is also how Britney will address rumors of her hooking up with women.
“How much she will tell is down to the legal team.”
Recently, The U.S. Sun revealed how Spears' hopes of telling the full truth about her rollercoaster life in her memoir will be decided by lawyers - not the singer.
Concerned publishing executives have to decide how much of Spears' recollections and claims about her life they will release in the autobiography, expected out at the end of the year.
One central concern from publisher Simon & Schuster is Britney's father, Jamie, contesting several accusations of abuse and maltreatment.
The pair has been at odds for years, even though Jamie insists he "saved" the singer as she spiraled into mental health woes, drugs, and drinking issues in 2008.
During her conservatorship, Britney openly alleged abuse by her dad and that he cashed in on her career.
