Sevilla are sniffing a record seventh Europa League title after a dramatic 1-1 draw in Turin gave them the edge in their semi-final tie against Juventus. The La Liga side were a whisker away from a first-leg victory, only for Juve keeper Federico Gatti to head home in the dying seconds and fulfil my BTTS bet.
The hosts will be looking to secure a record seventh Europa League final in with the bookies pricing them as 7/5 favourites with Betfred while Juve are 2/1 and a draw is 11/5. The market has been a busy one in the last as Juventus went into the semi-finals as the comfortable favourite but now it is fellow Serie A side Roma who are the new favourites at 9/4, with Juve and Sevilla out to 5/2 and Bayer Leverkusen at 16/5 for those who fancy a flutter.
The Rojiblancos are ending the season strongly under their third manager of the term, José Luis Mendilibar, and have lost just once in their last 11 games.
Juventus have been on a good run in Serie A, most recently beating Cremonese 2-0 to move up to second place. But the threat of a points deduction for financial issues hangs over them and the only way to guarantee Champions League qualification next season is by winning the Europa League. That should give Max Allegri's side extra motivation when they prepare to face a hostile crowd at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
