Eriksen was left needing stitches after a training ground incident on Monday.

The United star suffered a nasty cut above his left eye and has since been snapped sporting the cut and a black eye in another session.

The injury caused Eriksen to miss a group autograph signing for fans with his team-mates as part of the national team camp.

However, he has given fans an update on social media by sharing a selfie with the cut covered by tape.

Alongside the snap, he wrote: "So great to see all of you who showed up today.

"Sorry I couldn't sign some autographs, but I just had to be stitched.  Everything is OK."

Meanwhile, Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand said: "Christian got a blow on his eye and had some stitches.

"I don't think we should be worried.  He will be ready on Friday."
