LOOSE Women star Katie Piper has undergone an operation to fix a defect in her eye.
The 39-year-old told how she had a tissue graft to avoid her left eye ‘perforating’ as she gave an update to fans.

“I’ve had a defect for many months now so today I had tissue grafted onto my left eye to avoid perforation.
“I never stop being amazed by what can done with the eyes especially with such extreme injuries, I’m a complex patient but my consultant @sherazdaya always has a plan to help me and my eye.

Katie was just 24 when she fell victim to an acid attack, with the sulphuric acid that was thrown at her leaving her face severely burned.
Katie was rushed to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for emergency treatment after the attack, as the acid had severely burned her face and blinded her in her left eye.
She was put in an induced coma for 12 days and had to undergo skin graft procedures.
In the years that have followed she has undergone a series of procedures following a number of complications.
