RESIDENTS in a seaside town branded the most "aesthetically depressing" in the UK say they agree - adding that even the lights look lazy.
Blackpool is famous for its beach, tower and illuminations, but not all visitors have come away impressed.
The Lancashire resort was blasted by many Twitter users after the popular "No Context Brits" account asked them to name Britain's ugliest town.
One said: "My mum and dad took me as a kid and it was amazing – a playground of fun and entertainment.
"I went back a couple of years a go and it was just so depressing.

"Behind the front it’s a s**thole."
Another said: "I lived in Blackpool when I was younger and it's aesthetically so dead.
"The promenade is a mess of buildings with no identity and you'll be lucky to find a squirrel.
"There's a certain point where the illumination lights literally are just random coloured bulbs like they got lazy."
A third said: "Middlesbrough is worse than Stockton or Billingham but all of those aren’t as bad as Blackpool."
A fourth said: "I was genuinely shocked at how bad it was."
It comes after cops in Blackpool launched an animal cruelty probe when a seagull was seen being walked on a dog lead.
