The actor's mother, Lisa Cloud McLaughlin, previously noted a possible overdose in her call to 911 operators from the family residence in Oakland, California.
She explained that her son didn't have a pulse as fire crews and police arrived on the scene.
R&B star Anita Pointer of The Pointer Sisters dies aged 74Sources close to the Cloud family noted that the 25-year-old had supposedly been having suicidal thoughts and ideations before the July 31 overdose, according to the outlet.
Just one week before his death, Angus buried his late father, Conor Hickey, in Ireland after a battle with cancer, and they claimed the actor was struggling with grief.
Lisa later denied the claims of suicidal thoughts.
Since the Euphoria star's death, a mural was painted in Oakland in his honor, and a candlelight vigil was held.
The art was noticed by Angus' co-star and show lead, Zendaya, and she took to Instagram on August 1 to issue a heartfelt tribute to her fellow actor.
"Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor)," she wrote.
"I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it) I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…'they could light up any room they entered,' but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it."
Zendaya added: "I’d like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment."
"My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone."
Co-star Barbie Ferreira also paid tribute to Angus in a heartbreaking post on Instagram the same day.

"You will be missed tremendously."
Angus also completed production for a project outside Euphoria before his death.
The late actor played an unspecified role in an upcoming monster thriller movie from directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, per Variety.
The untitled feature boasts a star-studded cast alongside Angus, including Melissa Barrera, Kathryn Newton, Dan Stevens, Alisha Weir, and several others.
It's slated to be released sometime in April 2024, but it's unclear if the date will remain the same with the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
Either way, it will seemingly be Angus' final completed project.
He was last spotted attending the debut album launch party of MacArthur Maze, a Bay Area-based rap group, with close friend and band photographer Josh Kennedy, as The U.S. Sun exclusively reported.
Josh noted Angus had "been through a lot" in his life.
"We have had talks plenty of times. But you know, at the end of the day, you can't control everything," the photographer explained to The U.S. Sun.
"Things will just play out. Sadly, sometimes it's just terrible."
He added: "He's been through a lot, before Euphoria really. Just problems in general, life issues, and going through situations.
"It's hard."
