We've all heard the saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and whether you like just a simple piece of toast and butter or a full blown fry up, it's the best way to start your day off strong. One doctor has caused a stir online after she revealed her rather unique breakfast combination and many people are questioning her bizarre meal.

Previously claiming that she stays away from processed ingredients, Dr Leigh Erin Connealy tucked into two eggs with currant jam, on a slice of cinnamon raisin toast. The 66-year-old raised some eyebrows as she explained she sticks to "super high-quality" foods.

In a viral TikTok video posted online, the founder of the Centre For New Medicine, Dr Leigh said: "I'm having a late breakfast of organic eggs and a current jelly and a wonderful piece of cinnamon raisin bread," and further added that she fried the eggs in butter with the toast. She then added the jam for "contrast" with the eggs. Accompanying the video, she wrote: "What a Doctor eats for breakfast".

As she tucked into the unique meal, she highlighted that it's important for her and her family to eat well and eat food with nutritional value. She added that she focuses on food quality, the doctor makes sure every ingredient she eats is "well-sourced, delicious and nutritious". However, one person simply described her breakfast as a "wholesome hot mess" as viewers were left divided over the peculiar dish as many branded it "disgusting".

"I showed this to my husband (the combination of ingredients) and he said, 'She's more stoned than I am'," one TikTok user joked, while another added: "The combination seems interesting as those flavours are more sweet than savoury." But others liked the sound of it. "Current jelly with eggs?!?! I never would have thought, but it's making my mouth water!" one fan commented.
