S Club planning TV comeback for 'closure' amid Hannah Spearritt feud rumours

S Club are planning a big TV reunion as they 'need closure', but a film is not in the works.

After successfully reuniting for a tour, the band, who first gained fame on the BBC show Miami 7 in the 90s, are considering a follow-up TV show. The pop icons have been touring the country over recent weeks without late bandmate Paul Cattermole and former pal Hannah Spearritt.

It's previously been reported Dancing On Ice 2024 star Hannah was left out of the S Club reunion tour, with her former bandmates ordered not to speak to her directly. It's been claimed Hannah - who dated late S Club bandmate Paul - was shocked to discover her bandmates announcing tour plans as a five-piece on social media following Paul's sad death in April.

Speaking about a possible TV comeback, Rachel Stevens shared: "I'm up for another one, we have toyed with the idea and have come up with ideas for another one, how we would all be now. That was always gonna be part of S Club, the TV show like a modern day Monkees."

Jo O'Meara added her thoughts: "It would be very interesting to see what actually happened at the end because we need closure. But we would have to do it in London instead." While a TV show might be possible, a film is definitely off the table. Tina Barrett joked: "We did an S Club movie that was what put us over the edge, after that we split up."

The band is set to tour America for the first time next month. Rachel is excited: "We spent so much time in America because we filmed the TV show there, it feels like second home but never toured." Jo added: "It's new territory for us performing as a tour." Tina said: "We look at America as special, as it's, 'wow everything is so big and glamorous' . We always hear from American fans on social media." The band reckon there are opportunities for pop stars today that weren't afforded to them in their heyday.

Tina explained: "I remember it being loads of pop bands and indie in the 90s, but we were so uncool. Now it seems we're ok. We are embracing it so much more now to go on tour at this scale is just unbelievable and we are really enjoying being together more than we ever have."

Hannah, Bradley, Jo, Jon, Rachel and Tina have all been mourning Paul since the singer's death in April. Paul's death at the age of 46 came just weeks on from S Club 7 announcing plans to tour the country to celebrate 25 years as a band. Following her ex's death, Hannah made the decision to step back from the tour.

Speaking in July the remaining members of S Club touched on Hannah's absence during an interview regarding their then upcoming tour. Jon stated "it's a conversation for Hannah to have" but stressed "we've got loads of stuff" happening in the future so the door is always open for her. Tina added how "nothing bad" happened but everyone just needs their own space.

However, a source later claimed there is "little to no chance" of Hannah making an appearance due to the "bad blood" among the pop group. Speaking to The Sun, the insider alleged in July: "Hannah is devastated. She was pushed out, and doesn’t understand why. The rest of S Club has been told not to contact her."

The source went on to allege Hannah was "binned" following a series of disagreements with S Club creator Simon Fuller. It's alleged Hannah's bandmates all signed their contracts to go on tour "in the blink of an eye", but Hannah "took her time and pushed back on a few details".

It was then claimed Hannah was unaware of S Club's relaunch as a five-piece prior to the social media announcement. The source said "poor Hannah" very much wanted to take to the stage with S Club again but had "issues which needed resolving". They added "the rest of the band" are currently not communicating with her. The Mirror has previously approached representatives for S Club and Hannah for comment.
