ONE of Britain's most popular cars is getting a facelift - with an updated model to be unveiled in early February.

Skoda's ever-present Octavia will show off a bold new look next month with the Czech firm teasing an updated headlight design in a video posted to social media.

According to Autocar, the motor's new style will see the LED running light extend further down, with their spy pictures taken earlier in 2023 showing signs of a revised lower grille and new side air intakes.

The current fourth-generation Octavia was first delivered to customers in 2020 and was slightly longer and wider than its predecessor.

Both estate and liftback versions have been sold with standard petrol and diesel engines, as well as the plug-in hybrid Octavia iV estate and liftback sport Octavia RS estate and liftback.

The Octavia's facelift isn't the only change coming to the Volkswagen Group - as the brand's very own Volkswagen Golf will be launched later this year.

Indeed, this comes just months after the new Skoda Superb was revealed to the public - with a choice between six engines, including a plug-in hybrid.

Skoda's popularity in the UK was recently highlighted by their Karoq model breaking into the top 10 most popular used cars of 2023.
