FRIENDS and family grew concerned when they couldn't reach the star, and reportedly called for a welfare check.

Law enforcement officers tragically found YouTuber Muudea Sedik, known by his online moniker Twomad, unresponsive at his Los Angeles area home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, confirming that the viral video star had died.

Who was Muudea 'Twomad' Sedik?

Muudea Sedik, known online as Twomad, was a famous YouTuber and streamer.

Twomad, who was of Ethiopian descent, was born on December 17, 2000, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

He was known for his comedic skit videos, vlogs, and gaming content.

He was also known for creating the "Goodnight Girl" meme in 2019.

The video involved Twomad speaking directly into the camera, as though to a girlfriend, before abruptly tripping and falling out of view.

Social media users quickly began making edits of the video on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, leading it to become one of the more viral videos on the internet.

The content creator regularly posted across multiple YouTube channels, and on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram.

He also streamed on Twitch and Discord and even posted on TikTok before being banned from the app.

Twomad's commentary often caused him to get into several controversies, both online and in real life.

He often spoke about and documented these instances during "story times" and live streams, including with fellow internet creators like Belle Delphine.

How many followers did Twomad have on YouTube?

Twomad had three known YouTube channels, each with a significant amount of followers.

The influencer's most popular channel, twomad 360, @twomad, was actually his secondary account.

He created the account on April 2, 2016.

This account boasted 2.24 million subscribers, 199 videos, and 297,631,531 views.

He reportedly used this account to post gaming videos, including Overwatch and Fortnite content.

He also live-streamed himself gaming on the channel after moving away from services like Twitch.

Twomad's "main" YouTube account, @threemad, was created on August 21, 2017.

This account boasted 2.18 million subscribers, 216,382,832 views, and 156 videos.

Twomad also had a third, smaller YouTube account, titled @twomadgang9324.

This account was created on October 26, 2019, and originally used for story-times and commentary, including Twomad talking about himself and his life as a YouTuber.

This account only had posted 33 videos, but still had 15,574,880 views and 278,000 subscribers.

Twomad also had followers on other social media channels.

As of February 14, 2024, he had over 423,000 followers on his Instagram, and more than 564,000 followers on X.

His last tweet, posted on February 9, 2024, read: "neutron starrr."

What was Muudea 'Twomad' Sedik's cause of death?

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, an unknown party called the Los Angeles Police Department asking them to perform a welfare check on Twomad.

Twomad had reportedly been MIA for a few days – he wasn't responding to texts, calls, or DMs, wasn't posting on social media, and even missed a few appointments earlier in the week.

When the LAPD got to his residence, they, unfortunately, found the famous YouTuber unresponsive.

It was unclear how long he had been in that state, or how many hours or days it had been since he died.

TMZ was the first to report that there was drug paraphernalia found in his home.

Twomad's death is reportedly being investigated as an overdose, and no foul play is suspected.

It wasn't just Twomad's friends and family who grew concerned for his welfare over the past few weeks.

His millions of followers had even noticed a shift in his posting behavior, including strange tweets and unusual Instagram posts.

One of his last tweets, posted on February 8, 2024, appeared to be a picture of an assault weapon.

The internet influencer also hadn't posted on YouTube in over five months, which at one point made up the majority of his online activities.

Upon hearing the news, fans were left shocked at Twomad's untimely death.

He was only 23 years old.

"I couldn’t care abt opinions on this but rest in peace to twomad, biggest inspiration ever since 2018 to try content creation," tweeted one user.

"Speechless a bit, this has to be some publicity stunt," they added.

"Goodnight girl.. I wont see you tomorrow.." tweeted another user, referencing Twomad's viral video.

Still, not all of social media seemed to be devastated by the news.

Fellow YouTube star Jameskii posted a lengthy statement about Twomad just hours after the news broke out about his death.
