SKY News Breakfast fans have all been left seriously distracted during Kay Burley's new-look show.

The journalist is leading a brand new programme on the channel alongside co-hosts, former BBC News star Gareth Barlow and Mhari Aurora.

Despite only being in its first week, viewers have already been quick to call out a slew of problems with Kay's new morning offering.

Some have even admitted that they have been left distracted by one detail in particular.

Fans have called out the studio set and aren't happy that the backstage area and newsroom filled with TV screens can be visible behind the presenters desks.

More issue was also taken with the set up of the three stars being sat side-by-side with an awkwardly angled desk attached for the third presenter.

Viewers admitted it felt like the presenters and guests were not fully engaged with one another as they lacked eye contact.

Taking to X - formerly Twitter - to share their opinion, one fan said: "Very distracting seeing what's going on behind and guests don't appear to have full eye contact with presenters."

Another watcher similarly added: "Put up a privacy screen behind you, you can see emails, people drinking coffee, scrolling social media etc. At least some frosted glass or a divider.

"Watching someone's back while they sit at their desk is not a good look."

Before a third went on to say: "The new studio and programme is great but I feel for you when sat in the middle you look like you are watching a Wimbledon tennis match going from left assistant to right assistant."

As a fourth said: "Love the new concept, guys. However, the backdrop could be better. The office in the background is a distraction and looks drab too."

The show has been bombarded with fan complaints after it launched earlier this week.

One viewer sent out a scathing message to suggest it looked like the show was being broadcast from a caravan as they wrote: "I assume this new studio set up is the temporary one in the caravan in the back yard until the new one is finished !!"

Ahead of the new-look set up for her Breakfast show, Kay said: "Breakfast is becoming even brighter here on Sky News.

"I'm excited to be presenting from a new state-of-the-art studio - and to be joined by a great new line-up.

"Gareth, Mhari and Wilfred will be with me, each bringing their unique brand of first-rate, quality journalism.

"It'll be the best breakfast show in the business. Join us."
