ADRIAN Dunbar has thrilled Line of Duty fans with a promising update about the potential new series.
Viewers were devastated when the police drama - also starring Vicky McClure - came to an end after 36 episodes on screen.

The actor appeared on the red sofa as he was welcomed by longtime presenters Naga Munchetty, 48, and Charlie Stayt, 61.
He was on BBC Breakfast to promote his new show of Kiss Me Kate at the Barbican Theatre.

She said: "I'm just going to ask it. I think, most of the cast are keen for another one, but you haven't heard any news?
"I mean Vicki texted me yesterday ''I'm about to do loads of press for Trigger Point, but I know the only thing I'll be asked is are we about to do Line Of Duty again? And the answer is we don't know.
"We'd love too, because the last time we did it, it was in lockdown.
"And so we couldn't get out, we couldn't have fun. So we were kind of robbed the experience of working together again.
"And so we'd really like to do it again. but you know, at the moment, we don't know."
After a clip of the interview was posted onto X - formerly known as Twitter, one fan stated: "Great."
Whilst another noted: "It was a great programme.
however they added: "But like all series based on a conspiracy they run their course because there is only so long you can keep the plot going."
However, both the presenters were soon left red faced after the Ridley actor winked at Charlie all throughout the interview.

To which Naga spat out: "He did wink at you, count yourself lucky," before the trio were left in a fit of giggles.
The 61-year-old presenter added: "It's been a long time since anyone has winked at me, you in the habit of winking? Do you wink a lot?"
Adrian joked: "I don't know where this is going... No I don't!"
