GREG James has been flooded with support by fans after revealed a heartbreaking reason he's off air.
The presenter, 38, was missing from his BBC Radio 1 show on Tuesday morning.
Fans tuned in to realise Matt Edmondson was standing-in for the beloved star.
And now Greg has revealed he took a "quiet day" after his Nan passed away aged 100.
The Rise and Fall presenter explained he was already going through it, having been battling Coronavirus.

He wrote: "A pretty rotten week. Got rid of Covid then yesterday my lovely 100-year-old Nan died so have spent a nice quiet day today with family.
"Excited to be back on the radio tomorrow and very much in need of some fun. With you at 7am."
After his initial statement, Greg later returned to social media with his usual humour as he thanked fans for their messages.
He penned: "Ps. Thank you very much for your nice messages. You're very very kind. I sort of wanted to say something because I've been out of the loop the last couple of days and haven't really got back to anyone or said anything and my job requires me to be honest and open and I love that about it.
"However, the new influx of messages means the problem is now exacerbated and I have even more people to reply to.
"I should have done that thing where families say please respect our privacy which essentially means p*** off, doesn't it?
"I don't want you to p*** off I'm just trying to be funny. I'M GRIEVING FFS LEAVE ME ALONE. Don't leave me alone. I'm off to look at more photos of Andrew Scott bye xx."
Greg returned to Radio 1 as normal this morning.
