Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson says she has been reduced to tears by her body insecurities.
The 29-year-old reality star shot to fame in 2018 when she was a contestant during the fourth season of Love Island - where she partnered with 25-year-old Wes Nelson, and landed in fourth place. In the years since, she has gone on to build an impressive modelling career - selling everything from lingerie to sex toys.
And while Megan has a hugely confident persona, she has revealed that this is, at times, an act - and she brings herself down by focusing on her self-determined flaws. On Tuesday, the reality star took to social media to reveal she was en route to a photoshoot when her self-criticism led her to almost pull out of the shoot altogether.
Uploading a video of herself in the back of a car, the star confessed she had been in tears and worrying over her weight. But taking a defiant stance, the star explained that she was questioning why she put so much pressure on herself and encouraged her fans not to worry if they ever feel less than perfect.

And I’ve cried and nearly cancelled all because I[‘m] not as slim as I was last year! Like what?! Why am I putting so much weight on my weight? I just wanted to be honest not everything is as perfect as it seems. I’m so blessed my job is playing dress up and getting to work with amazing creatives! But sometimes you won’t feel [100%] and that’s fine.”

Megan added: “I’m pushing myself to get out your [comfort] zone no matter how ‘toned’ or skinny I feel. I’m so blessed I can call this work and have to opportunity to shoot with these talented humans! Can’t wait to show you some bts.” In due course, she shared a video clip of polaroids laid out on a table, showing her modelling a range of different outfits and designs. Her post comes just hours after she revealed she had uploaded new content to her OnlyFans page - where she sells titillating snaps of herself.
She added that she was holding a sale for her content - slashing her usual price of $20 (£15) per month to just $8 (£6) for a limited time. On Monday, Megan posed with a sex toy on her main Instagram grid as she highlighted a self-pleasing device that she is highlighting on behalf of Canadian internet pornography website Bellesa.
Meanwhile, Love Island fans may see Megan back in the villa as she has teased she could take part in the current All Stars spin-off series. Asked by fans online if she would be taking part, the star teased: "Maybe... let’s see what hot guys go in."
