LINDSEY VONN has shared gruesome pictures of injuries she has suffered during her skiing career.
The ex-partner of golf star Tiger Woods posted the images on her Instagram account for her 2.2million followers.

In one picture, she showed herself in a wheelchair in hospital, while other snaps revealed the extent of some of her wounds.
She also posted a video which showed a few of her crashes while she was skiing.
Lindsey, 39, also added an inspirational message to the post in which she thanked her family for their support.

She wrote: "I’ve been bruised and broken but I’ve always come out the other side a better person.
"No matter how many times I fell, I always got back up. I didn’t do it alone though.
"I am so thankful to have had the support of friends, family and you guys, my fans.
"Knowing I had people supporting me helped me in my darkest hours.
"Every day, I tried to put one foot in front of the other until it eventually got me back to where I wanted to go… which was usually the top of the mountain.

"We are all on our own paths, but if you’re injured or going through a hard time, believe in yourself and know that you will come out of it a better and stronger person.
"You got this."
Fans were shocked by the content as they flooded the comment section.
One posted: " I think I just passed out. Ouch. You are a warrior."
A second wrote: "You’re so brave and so strong."

A third commented: "Jisses! You are a true champ!"
A fourth said: "Dang! Prayers."
Another added: "You are a strong woman."
During her career, Vonn appeared in four Olympics, winning three medals, including gold in the Women's Downhill in Vancouver 2010.
She also won bronze in both super-G and downhill eight years later in South Korea.
Her injuries forced her to retire in 2019.
