A HOLLYWOOD star has signed up to appear in upcoming EastEnders episodes as part of George Knight's storyline.

The BBC One soap have cast Neil Roberts for the horrific storyline as it progresses in upcoming scenes.

Neil, 59, is best known to fans for his portrayal of Rex Buckland in hit American series Charmed.

The actor has also appeared in Party of Five, Baywatch Nights, Beverly Hills 90210 and Diagnosis Murder.

Neil's arrival in Walford comes as he plays barrister Warren Finn who is hired to represent evil killer Eddie Knight.

EastEnders fans will known the twisted pensioner, who is played by Christopher Firbank, killed his adoptive son George's biological father.

The historic murder case will air its dramatic scenes later this month.

Last month fans had watched as Eddie had tried to blackmail George into giving him a character witness in return for details on his birth mum.

But  former boxing pro George fought back against his racist dad and exposed him in court.

Neil was also in the now-cancelled Channel 5 soap opera Family Affairs and had a recurring role in Holby City as Dr. Phillip Lawlor.

His other stints in soaps include Coronation Street as dodgy businessman Mike Leydon.

In 2017 it was revealed that Neil was set to join Hollyoaks in a regular role as Glenn Donovan. The actor appeared in 18 episodes before he quit and the character was recast as actor Bob Cryer took on the role.

He also played DS Jason Wise in Emmerdale - who had an on-off romance with Chas Dingle.
