Love Island star Millie Court has shown off her amazing skin transformation after years of having acne.
The 27-year-old took to Snapchat to post photos of her skin now after starting taking Roaccutane. The medication is used as a last resort treatment to clear up severe acne, particularly if there is a risk of permanent scarring.
In the snaps, Millie’s skin looked dramatically different and seemed to have gone from red and inflamed to completely clear. Opening up to fans about her treatment, she was asked in a Q&A: “Do you still have scarring as your skin looks perfect from the photos.” Millie replied: “Yes, I’ve got little indents on one side of my face. This will go when I scan start micro-needling again but I can’t do that whilst on Roaccutane or for six months after.”
Another asked if the medication had affected her mental health in any way to which Millie said: “I noticed a change in my moods when I started my first dose and then again when my dose got upped. I was really emotional/crying a lot/anxious and mainly very agitated and snappy. The other symptoms subsided after a few weeks and I felt a lot better, but I still feel like I’ve got a short fuse and get annoyed really easily.”
Revealing her mood swings affected her relationship with boyfriend Liam Reardon and best friend Chloe Burrows, Millie went on to say: “Chloe and Liam definitely got the brunt of it. I told them the doctor said I might change a little... and they’re the closest to me so they had to deal with me. I’m sorry both thanks for dealing with me.”
