Chaz opted to theme his dish around chicken thighs but many viewers were left wishing that he hadn't.
Happy Valley's James Norton teases Tommy's 'deep hatred' in final seriesAmid some mishaps as he prepared his meal, the contestant looked nervous as he served up his chicken thighs coated in a fish caramel sauce, served with jasmine rice, topped with chilli peppers, chicken skin and a diced cucumber and radish salad.
John wasn't happy that the thighs appeared to have been "left in the pan" which had caused them to become dry as well as branding his sauce "unusual" and "bitty".
Gregg then said: "I think you need to work on presentation and I think those chicken thighs were a silly mistake.
"You would probably never make this at home."
Chaz admitted he had "mixed emotions" amid the feedback but fans were staunchly critical of what he had to serve up.
One fuming fan said: "Those chicken thighs look raw on my screen, they look so vile and the sauce sounds equally as rank."
Another added: "Was that chicken cooked??"
A third then penned: "Looks like raw chicken!"
Someone else echoed: "That chicken looks raw to me. Not that I'm an expert."
