Love Island stars Jack Fowler and Justine Joy Ndiba have called time on their romance just months after winning a spin-off of the show.

The pair were contestants on Love Island: Games - which brought contestants from international versions of the franchise to compete together in an all star version of the show. Fans of Love Island in the UK will recall that 28-year-old Jack was a contestant during season four of the show back in 2018 where he coupled with 29-year-old Laura Crane - only for their romance to collapse two months after they were dumped from the villa.

Fans of the American version of Love Island will remember 30-year-old Justine from the second season of the show - which she won alongside Caleb Corprew, but they broke up four months after the show completed. Last year, Jack and Justine seemingly fell for each other on Love Island: Games and won the show. They scooped a cash prize of $100,000 (£78,000) which they opted to split evenly between them.

Now, less than four months after the spin-off show ended at the end of November, the couple have confirmed that the romance has run its course. The pair say they will continue to be friends and are sad they couldn’t make the relationship - which had the Atlantic Ocean between it - work.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Saturday, Jack broke the devastating news. He typed: “BIG love to everyone who supported me and Justine in Love Island Games. Winning together was actually mental. Feels like ages ago now lol but just wanted to say we are keeping it as friends. It's all love and vibes between us.”

He added red heart emojis for good measure. Justine, meanwhile, didn’t acknowledge the split on her own feed. Fans of the couple might not be too shocked to see the romance didn’t work. After winning the Games show, they hinted the distance between them could torpedo their love - but said they would give it a good shot.

Justine said at the time: "I feel like we live so far away from each other, so right now we’re just 100 per cent doing our best.” And Jack added: "It’s hard because I’ve obviously got work in London. That’s where my family is and all the rest of it. And obviously, Justine is here. So there’s a big bit of water in between us. But we talk every day when we’re apart, like on Facetime.

“But I get to talk to Justine about it and I know some parts of the show were quite difficult for us both, so I think we’ve just tried our best to be there for each other more than anything. But no, we’re trying our damn best. We are literally taking it day by day and enjoying each other’s time.”
