One person recently shared a simple trick for getting green mould off your decking, and it is likely that you already have the solution at home.
Posting in the Facebook group "Cleaning tips tricks and hacks" one person asked: "Has anyone got any hacks for cleaning green mould off decking and patio areas without a power washer and a lot of scrubbing."
Very quickly helpful cleaning hacks were being posted in the comments, and one was quite unusual.
One person said: "Wet it and Forget it spray you can buy on Amazon."

While another person commented: "Washing powder! Sprinkle all over it and brush it in, let the rain do the rest - it comes up really bright and clean.
This may sound unusual but it turns out that it is quite a common solution.
According to gardening enthusiasts from the popular Gardening On A Budget Official group on Facebook, the common laundry essential is a good hack for cleaning patios.
One member of the page explained: "I've used Aldi washing powder in hot water and brushed on with a stiff broom.

"Removed months of dirt and moss,'' the gardening lover claimed.
If you want to give this a go you can pick up Aldi washing powders from £3.95 for a 2kg bag.
Another person in the group added: "'I've heard cheap soap powder works.''
While a third added: "Dampen, sprinkle cheap bio washing powder and wait for rain or re-wet. Didn’t need to brush mine, it just disappeared.''

There were also other suggestions, including Elbow Grease mixed with some water, as well as spraying Wet & Forget to tackle the grime.
