While Naga tends to keep her private life strictly under wraps, the keen golfer has shared an insight her activity off camera.

Speaking to The Times, Naga revealed her alarm clock goes off at a gruelling time.

The journalist explained: "My first alarm is at 3.45 and I'm in the BBC Breakfast studio by 4.50.

“On radio days I wake up naturally at 5.45, but I'm a terrible prevaricator.

"As a kid, my mum would have to physically pull me from my bed. My first thought is always: how long can I stay here before I have to drag my arse to the gym?"

In a striking admission, Naga also revealed her attire for bed.

She explained: "I haven't worn anything in bed since I was about 16. There's something very luxurious and freeing about being naked and having clean sheets around you.”

Naga, who always wows viewers with her glamorous and flawless look on air, never wears make-up outside of the studio.

“I never wear make-up outside work - I'm quite lazy," she admitted.

"I'll rock up to Broadcasting House in jeans and trainers and a rollneck jumper, have porridge and a cup of tea at my desk, then we're on air from 11 to 1pm.”

Meanwhile, the Londoner also addressed the criticism she regularly receives from BBC Breakfast viewers.

In the past Naga has been accused of being 'disrespectful' to guests as she explained she was doing it for the viewers.

“One person's spiky is another's assertive," she swiped.

“I'm there to ask questions for the audience and to make sure guests get the opportunity to tell their story. Part of interviewing is knowing when and how to draw out interesting facts.

“If that means a polite interruption it's for clarity, not out of disrespect."

Naga opened up about her health battles last year.

The journalist was diagnosed with adenomyosis, a condition that affects the tissues that line the womb.
