FOLLOWING Ralf Little's departure announcement last month, Death in Paradise fans are convinced they have rumbled the star who will replace him as the lead detective of the popular BBC show.

Since the episode aired, fans have taken to social media and penned down their assumptions about who could replace the beloved detective.
Names such as Harry Potter star Rupert Grint and Doc Martin's Martin Clunes have already been thrown into the spotlight.

The Derry Girls star has appeared in the Death in Paradise spin-off since it began in February last year.
Now, following Friday's episode, in which fans watched him solve a case, they seemed convinced that Kelby could be promoted to DI, with one even predicting a move to the fictional island of Saint Marie.
One fan wrote on X(Twitter): "Kelby has had a brainwave... little DI in the making. #beyondparadise."
"Kelby is the best character in the Death in Paradise universe #beyondparadise," someone else complimented.
A third indicated: "Kelby is so me, I'm terrible at explaining things. bet he solves the case...promotion to St Marie #beyondparadise."
Another added: "I so wanted a Kelby and Marlon meeting. It won't happen now #DeathInParadise #BeyondParadise."

But that's not where the list ends for potential replacements, as Death in Paradise writer James Hall has also sparked fresh theories about who could take on the lead role.
His Dark Materials fans left open-mouthed after character’s shocking betrayalOn social media, fans spotted that he started following American actor Michael Rapaport—known for his roles in Friends, Prison Break, My Name is Earl, Atypical, The 6th Day, and Doctor Dolittle 2—which led to them suspecting that the US star could be the next detective on the Caribbean island.
Several other contenders have even received public endorsements from former Death in Paradise leads.
Ben Miller, who played DI Richard Poole from 2011 to 2014, suggested Mr Bates vs The Post Office star Toby Jones for the role.
He also said he liked the idea of a female lead in the role.
Ben told RadioTimes.com: "Oh my God, there are so many people who'd be brilliant," before adding: "Toby Jones, that's who I'd like to see."
Ben added that a female lead could "definitely work" for the hit BBC show.
He continued: "I could see that, 100% I think that'd be good too. If we're playing fantasy detectives, Miranda Hart."
Harry Potter icon Rupert is top of the odds for the next series.
Bookies Coral told us he is placed with 6-4 odds, with the figures slashed from an initial 6-1.
Rupert rose to fame for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, for which he was cast at age eleven.
