The aircraft came down near Eddsfield Airfield, with emergency services called to Seamer Road in Octon, near Driffield.

A spokesperson for the Air Accidents Investigation Branch said it was aware of the incident and would begin an investigation.

Fire crews soaked up fuel and disconnected the plane battery, according to Humberside Fire and Rescue.

Firefighters reported using small tools to disconnect the plane battery and absorbant pads to soak up fuel and make the plane safe.

The fire service said all three occupants had escaped from the plane without assistance before the crew arrived.

It is not believed they were seriously injured in the incident. Hull Live has tried to contact Eddsfield Airfield and Octon Airstrip for comment; it is unclear if the plane had taken off from either of those airfields or somewhere further away.
