After arriving late to work, Jacob (Charles Venn) informs Iain (Michael Stevenson) that Carter hasn’t stopped crying all weekend.

Later, while out on a call with Iain, Jacob gets a voicemail from Carter’s creche.

They inform him Carter is increasingly unsettled and isn't progressing as quickly as they'd like.

Meanwhile, Jacob confides in Jan (Di Botcher) that he is struggling to juggle his responsibilities and asks her to reduce his shifts.

After leaving with his crying grandson, Jacob is angry and he considers his future at the ED.

Considering specialties, Tariq asks Rash for advice, but Rash just tells him to speak with Patrick about shadowing possibilities.

Patrick is happy to help Tariq with contacts for shadowing opportunities - but during the conversation, he implies Rash is the anonymous whistleblower.

Later on, Tariq tells Rash that everyone knows he is the whistleblower and should just admit to it.

Hurt by his cousin’s words, Rash thinks Tariq has sided with Patrick in the hopes of furthering his career.

Dylan enters Patrick’s office while it is empty and emails himself the serious incidents report.

This is to cross reference against the rotas and obtain evidence of Patrick’s incompetence.

However, when Dylan leaves the office, Patrick is waiting outside and is suspicious of what he has been up to.

Later, Dylan receives a phone call with important information about Patrick.

With Patrick under more pressure than ever while treating a patient, what exactly has Dylan learned?
