A COUPLE on Escape to the Country broke down in tears as their property hunt took an emotional turn.
The hit BBC One series sees those living in cities or suburban areas relocate to the countryside.
In one recent episode viewers were introduced to couple Chris and Karen.
The pair had a budget of £450,000 and wanted to move from Essex to the Peak District.
They revealed they've visited the beautiful location over the last number of years have fall in love with its charming towns and villages.

Presenter Steve Brown got to work to find the pair their perfect home.
Chris and Karen were immediately impressed with the first property - a traditional cottage.
The abode had recently been upgraded and featured a modern kitchen and bathroom.
Karen commented on how she was "getting a really warm, snug, cosy feeling" about the place.
But Chris did raise an important concern about the height of the roof, particularly as he's over 6ft tall.
Although it was on the market for the top of their budget at £450k, Karen and Chris conceded the house didn't need any work.
While the couple viewed other properties in the Peak District, the cottage remained by far their favourite.
As the week of house hunting came to an end, they both sat down with Steve to talk through everything.
They then revealed they wanted to book a second viewing and would consider placing an offer on the home.
"Being back here for the few days with you has certainly cemented in my mind and in my heart that this is where I want to be living," said Karen.

However, things soon took a turn when she began to break down in tears.
She said: "Sorry I've got a bit emotional there.
"This has always been my drive to do this. And Chris, I sometimes felt he was just coming along for the ride."
