They had a budget of £800,00 as presenter Alistair Appleton got to work.

As they were shown the grand Cheshire home, they were taken aback.

Joe joked:" Wow, it's haunted!" while Grace said: "It's very grand, I'm definitely intrigued."

The property wasn't short of space as there was a huge dinning room, along with a kitchen-dinner.

Upstairs the home boasted six bedrooms and three bathrooms.

"I'm blown away a little bit by the possibility of accepting something like this," remarked Joe after viewing the abode.

As Grace saw the master bedroom she said: "It's surprise after surprise, everything is like 'wow'."

The house was on the market for offers starting from £800,000.

But despite being drawn in, the couple ultimately chose not to place an offer on the house.

"The mystery house was a little bit too much for us," Joe explained. "It's just too much house."
