The beloved comedian, 53, is world's away from her iconic Laura Cooper character for her new BBC show.

Catherine will become a member of the - fictional - Royal Family as she plays a controversial figurehead in The Queen of Oz.

Filming on the brand new six-episode series took place last year in Australia.

Speaking previously about the series, Jon Petrie, Director of BBC Comedy, said: “It’s time to roll out the red carpet. And hang up the bunting again.

"We’re excited to have the multi-award-winning Catherine Tate back making another comedy for the BBC.

"Her work has been enjoyed by millions over the years and we look forward to working with her on another hit for us.”

Queen of Oz starts on Friday 16th June at 9.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
