LONG Lost Family viewers were left "sobbing" at an emotional story about two estranged brothers on the latest episode.

Tonight's episode saw Paul Connolly seek someone who shared his paternal DNA.

He was born in East London in 1962, the youngest child in a large Irish Catholic family, and said his mother tossed him out with the rubbish when he was two weeks old.

Paul spent his youth in care, with hardly any contact with his family so he was desperate to find his relatives.

When Paul met the half brother he never knew he had, they were both struck by their uncanny physical resemblance.

It prompted his long-lost sibling Frankie Peroni, the elder of the two, to declare it was “like looking in a mirror”.

During the episode it was later revealed he discovered that he had a brother.

Those watching at home were left "sobbing" after hearing the heartbreaking story of the estranged brothers.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "It's funny, yet tragic, that these 2 lads were in the same school at the same time and never knew they were brothers. Wow. I hope they can make up for lost time."
