OVER 210,000 music lovers are set to descend on Worthy Farm for this year's highly anticipated Glastonbury Festival.

With a stellar line-up that includes music legends Elton John and Guns N' Roses, as well as pop icons like Lizzo, it is bound to be one of the most talked about of all time.

Headline acts will scoop up hundreds of thousands of pounds for playing - adding to their already eye-watering fortunes.

So who among them reigns supreme as the richest performer? Here we reveal this year's Glastonbury rich list.

Elton John - £432m

The legendary hit-maker is one of the best-selling artists of all time with record sales of over 300million worldwide.

Elton, 76, has a total of nine number ones in both the UK and the US and a mind-blowing 50 Top 40 hits on the UK Singles Charts.

He has bagged numerous accolades including five Grammys, five Brit Awards and two Oscars, and was knighted by the late Queen Elizabeth II for his contributions to music in 1998.

Earlier this year it was reported his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour had become the highest-grossing music concert, notching up $800million.

After decades in the industry it comes as no surprise that Elton is top of our list with a reported net worth of £432million.

Axl Rose - £157m

Axl Rose from Guns N' Roses comes in at number two with a reported net worth of £157million.

He is one of the most influential figures in rock music and has been named among the greatest singers in the world by Rolling Stone and NME.

Although the band has undergone many line-up changes, Axl remains the only original member since its formation in 1985 and has sold over 100 million records worldwide.

The 61-year-old star, who had to deal with a traumatic childhood and a rocky past including a bipolar disorder diagnosis, will perform on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday.

Guns N' Roses has been dubbed a controversial signing for family-friendly Glasto, with the band's gigs over the years infamously descending into anarchy.

Lizzo - £40m

With a fortune of £40million, it is no surprise Lizzo wrote a song about feeling "good as hell".

Although the American star has been active since 2011, she didn't hit the mainstream until 2019 with the release of her third album, Cuz I Love You.

Since then the 35-year-old has topped multiple charts around the world including in the UK and the US - she also has four Grammys to her name alongside a string of other top gongs.

Lizzo also earns big bucks thanks to her affiliation with brands like Dove, Absolute Vodka and Google Pixel 6.

Debbie Harry - £23.6m

With her band Blondie, Debbie Harry has released eleven studio albums with many of those flying high on the charts.

Before co-founding the group in 1974, Debbie, 77, worked as a Playboy Bunny, a dancer and a secretary.

Some of their biggest hits include Heart of Glass, Rapture and The Tide Is High which shot to number one in the UK.

She's now worth an estimated £23.6million.

When it comes to music royalty, it doesn’t get much better than Mel C, who rose to prominence as part of The Spice Girls. 

With her distinctive voice Mel, 49, helped steer them to become the biggest-selling girl in history. 

Since they debuted in 1996, Mel has shifted over 123million records both as a member of the iconic band and as a soloist. 

Her career, which spans nearly 30 years, has earned her numerous awards and seen her co-write 11 UK number one songs.

She has raked in an estimated fortune of £23.6million. 

Earlier this year Mel was forced to shut down rumours that the Spice Girls would be performing at the festival. 

Lana Del Rey - £23.5m

As one of the most popular artists in the world, Lana Del Rey, 37, has been praised for her songwriting skills and unique voice.

Her debut album, Born To Die, released in 2012, became her first of six number ones in the UK and spawned the single Summertime Sadness.

She has also recorded soundtracks for some of the biggest films in recent memory including The Great Gatsby and Maleficent.

In 2019 she was announced as the face of Gucci's Guilty fragrance, alongside Hollywood star Jared Leto.

Earlier this year it was reported she had threatened to pull out of the festival as a result of her name being too low down the list of performers on the promotional poster.

Alex Turner - £22.3m

Alex co-formed the Arctic Monkeys when he was 17 and has since released seven albums with the English band. 

Known for his clever wordplay in his music, the frontman, 37, has also worked with The Last Show Puppets and released some solo music as well. 

The band has headlined several festivals including Leeds and Reading - and it’s their third time playing Glastonbury, having previously done so in 2007 and 2013. 

Throughout his career Alex has garnered a £22.3million net worth with a stunning £1million East London house to show for it. 

Fatboy Slim - £15.7m

As one of the most successful DJs in the world Fatboy Slim, 59, has won two Brit Awards and nine MTV Video Music Awards, and holds the Guinness World Record for most top 40 hits under different names.

Several of his projects have achieved both critical and commercial acclaim, earning him a reported £15.7million.

He has also worked on successful remixes for the likes of the Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, Groove Armada and Wildchild.

Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, first performed at Glastonbury in 1986 and has played every year since 1996.

Rick Astley got global recognition in 1987 following the release of his album Whenever You Need Somebody, which sold 15.2miliion copies around the world.

Never Gonna Give You Up, his debut single, reached number one in the UK and 25 other countries and was awarded the Best British Single gong at the Brits in 1988.

A decade after the song's release, Rick, 57, became an internet sensation when the song became the main catalyst for Rickrolling, a term that refers to being tricked on the web.

Altogether the Englishman's albums have sold over 40million copies, giving him an estimated net worth of £12.5million.

His performance at the festival will be his first ever in a career that has spanned 38 years.

Lewis Capaldi - £8million

At just 26, Lewis Capaldi already has an epic back catalogue of hits and is considered one of the best acts in the UK.

Multiple sources peg his wealth at £8million, thanks to the sales of his singles, albums, merchandise and tour tickets.

It's also been reported that he signed a seven-figure deal with Netflix to release a documentary, which could help his fortune reach dizzying heights.

Last month he released his second album, Broken by Desire to be Heavenly, which reached number one in the UK and earned a top 20 placement in the US.

He has also been linked to big brands such as Apple Music and Samsung - not too bad for a former Britain's Got Talent reject.

Lil Nas X - £6.2million

Lil Nas X's smash hit single Old Town Road catapulted him to stardom and made £11million along the way, according to Cosmopolitan.

After the single spent 19 weeks at the top of the US charts he released a number of successful projects including the singles Panini, Montero (Call My Name), and Industry Baby.

But the star, 24, isn't just resting on the fortune he's built - he is said to have invested £1.5million in real estate.

He has also earned several accolades including two Grammy Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, and a ranking on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2020.

Like many on our rich list, he also has his own sponsorship deals - he has partnered with M&M's and was named President of the League of Legends by video game developer Riot Games.

Carly Rae Jepsen - £6.2m

In 2012 you couldn't walk into a bar without hearing Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe blasting through the speakers.

The single became that year's best-selling track, flogging over 18million copies, and reached number one in 19 countries, contributing to her reported £6.2million wealth.

The star arrived on the scene after coming third on the fifth season of Canadian Idol and has since released six studio albums, including last year's The Loneliest Time.

Carly, 37, is so excited to play at Glastonbury she has called it a "bucket list moment", telling told the BBC: "If you are a lover of festivals at all, this is in the elite class."
