OUR Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has shared an update about the “pretty horrible” time the family were having at the farm last week.

Over the weekend, Amanda, 49, returned to social media for the first time in weeks and shared how the family farm in North Yorkshire has been affected by Storm Ciarán.

After returning to social media this weekend, the Yorkshire Shepherdess gave her fans a couple of updates on Ravenseat Farm.

In the first post, she revealed that the family had to “batten down the hatches” to cope with the intense wind and rain from Storm Ciarán.

However, the family still managed to have some fun in the middle of it all.

“Been some pretty horrible weather. Had to batten down the hatches but rain doesn’t stop work (and play). Sure as eggs is eggs,” she wrote alongside a sweet photo of her daughters Annas and Clemmie out collecting eggs.

She shared a couple more photos of the girls laughing and playing on the farmland and climbing a huge tree amid the dark and stormy weather.

Amanda shared another post yesterday, giving fans a bit more insight into what the family has been getting up to in the last week.

“Been raining cats and dogs. A whole week of rain, wind & plenty of mud,” she said as she posted a series of photos of her daughters out of the farm in their winter gear.

These posts come a month after Amanda’s last update, where she shared that most of her kids were keeping busy helping out on the farm looking after sheep.

“There’s plenty to do whatever the weather and there’s never a shortage of willing helpers. All equipped with enthusiasm & smiles,” she said at the time.

Despite the long wait between posts, fans were thrilled to see these latest updates from Amanda and flooded the comments with support.

One said: “Beautiful photos as always, Amanda.”

“So good to see you all,” another commented.

A third chimed in saying, “Great to see you all again, still living that perfect life,” while a fourth said they missed catching up with the Owens on Our Yorkshire Farm.

A fifth praised: “Nice to see your lovely kids outside and enjoying that tree.”

“Fabulous photos - what an amazing tree!” added a sixth.

“Beautiful children love seeing how they are doing & growing up so fast,” gushed another.

Coming on the extreme weather, one fan said “I bet that fire’s been roaring.”

While another joked: “As us Yorkshire folk say, it’s just big coat weather.”

Amanda’s most recent social media updates come after Channel 4 announced the mum of nine would be returning to screens alongside her ex-husband, Clive Owen, and their oldest son, Reuben.

Our Farm Next Door will follow the trio as they renovate a nearby farmhouse. The series will premiere next year.

A source close to the family said Amanda and Clive were putting on a “united front” for the project, which will jump-start Amanda’s TV career again.

They said: “Amanda’s ego has taken a battering. Her popularity fell off a cliff after the affair was exposed.

“She knows the only way for her to get back on TV — and for it to be successful — is for Clive to be involved and for them to put up a united front.”

Locals say Clive, 69, is “endlessly kind and tolerant” despite his devastation at the end of their 22-year marriage.
