Love Island Games' Megan Barton-Hanson has left Love Island Games for "medical reasons".
The reality TV star who shot to fame in the UK version of the show was absent from Sunday night's episode of the global spin-off of the series. Ian Stirling, the show's narrator, made the announcement in brief comment on the show.
Love Island producers did not address exactly what those 'medical reasons' were and Kyra Green, who Megan shared a steamy kiss with, admitted that Megan's sickness put a strain on their connection. She said: "I'm okay. It's mean definitely upsetting... just obviously on different pages and I haven't been really able to get on the same page because she's been sick and out of here."

Megan and Kyra became the show's first same-sex coupleIn September, Megan was open about her ongoing health issues and struggles with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. On social media she wrote: "I'd never heard of it but think I may have had my first experience. I've not had pain/fever quite like it the last 5 days have been hell... If you have good Essex/London-based gynaecologist recommendations please let me know or any tips or remedies for the pain and to stop it from reoccurring."

The health complication occurs when there is an infection in the female reproductive system. It can cause pelvic discomfort, bleeding, pain during sex, and more. While it wasn't officially indicated if this was what caused Megan to leave, Love Island Games was filmed in September, too.
After becoming the show's first same-sex coupling, Kyra had trouble processing Megan's unexpected exit. She added: "I feel like I'm in shock. I thought she was going to walk in tonight and be like whatever..."
She opened up in September about struggling with PID (PEACOCK/PLANET PHOTOS)For now, Megan has not addressed her absence on social media and the show didn't specify if she would be allowed to return to the villa. With Megan's departure, that makes three singles who left the villa since the last episode. Georgia and Toby were booted from the show.
Fans were left completely confused, pointing out how quickly Megan's health was mentioned. One wrote: "The way they threw Megan left due to medical reasons in there like it was nothing?"
Others were upset because they loved the way Megan was 'shaking up the show'. Another fan said: "I’m so disappointed, Megan was the most dramatic bombshell by far and she just left the show because she’s sick?"
Haters didn't believe her exit explanation. One noted: "Wait so Megan just left because of an illness??? It's giving… she was embarrassed about being pied off by Eyal and then couldn’t just f**k around."
